We have two pre-school rooms at Clever Clogs, Little Owls & Little Foxes. One is for children just finding their way at the age of three and the other for children who are about to leave to start ‘big school’. 

By following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, we can provide the opportunities and activities which encourage children to work towards the early learning goals in the seven areas of learning within the framework which are:

Prime areas

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Physical Development
• Communication and Language

Specific areas

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the World
• Expressive Arts and Design

The same framework continues on into reception class when your child goes to school and to further support in this important process we have built excellent relationships with local schools, which includes visits from the reception teachers who will be teaching your child when they leave Clever Clogs.

Our pre-school children benefit from many learning and development areas, including a reading area, IT corner, science area and much more. They also have free access to the outdoor play area all day.

By the time your child leaves Clever Clogs, they will have had the very best start as they begin their new journey at school.
