We recently said a special goodbye to pupils who are about to take the next step in their educational journey.
A total of 54 children at the Clever Clogs Day Nurseries in Bowburn and Belmont recently took part in a special graduation ceremony, ahead of leaving to start ‘big school’ in September.
The easing of Covid-19 restrictions meant proud parents were able to come into the nursery on an appointment basis to have photographs taken with their children in their red gowns and holding their graduation scrolls.
The afternoon ended with a party tea.
Sharon Lewis, Manager of the two Clever Clogs nurseries, said: “It’s always sad to say goodbye to the children, many of whom have been with us since they were babies.
“However, it was lovely to be able to hold a graduation event this year and to welcome parents safely back into the nursery for the first time since Covid-19 restrictions came into force in March 2020.
“Hopefully the children, and parents, will have left Clever Clogs with many happy memories and we wish them the very best of luck as they continue their learning journey.”
