Having younger siblings gave Kayley Smith an insight into childcare and she has been doing it professionally at Clever Clogs ever since.
Now 32, Kayley has been with the nursery for 15 years and is Senior Practitioner in Tiny Miracles, our baby room.
Here she is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the room, including supporting the staff who work in the room and planning the development of our youngest children.
Kayley says: “My brother and sister are younger than me, so I used to help my mum out when they were growing up and I enjoyed it.
“So, when I decided to make childcare a career, I wanted to work at a nursery and there’s no where better than Clever Clogs.
“Every day is different and working with the children and parents, you make memories which last forever.
“There’s one member of staff who has just joined us at Clever Clogs who came here when she was a baby and I still remember her; that’s a great example.”
When she’s not at work, Kayley enjoys spending time with her family and her Chugapoo (chihuahua and pug) dog.
