Jess Lowes is one of Clever Clogs’ newest members of staff and is working in our Little Explorers room for children aged two.

Jess, 24, says she always wanted to work in childcare, having had hands-on experience caring for younger family members as she was growing up.

She did her Childcare Level 3 qualification at college which involved a mixture of classroom and work-based experience.

From there she worked at another nursery in County Durham for six years before deciding she was ready for a change.

Jess says: “I have been made to feel very welcome since joining Clever Clogs and am really enjoying working here.

“The routine at Clever Clogs is so consistent. Everyone knows exactly what they need to do, and this can only benefit the children as they progress through the nursery.”

In her spare time, Jess enjoys spending time with her family and being outside as much as possible, particularly indulging her love of walking.
