Amy Haywood has lots of experience supporting children whilst working in a school for children with additional needs. She has joined us here at Clever Clogs and is excited to share this with us and is eager to adapt to nursery life.
Following the arrival of her son, Amy chose to spend time at home and when she was ready to return to work a nursery was her first choice.
She started at Clever Clogs earlier this year and works in Little Foxes, our room for our older children preparing to start school.
Amy, who has a Level 3 in Childcare, says: “I am really enjoying it. It is quite different than working in the school where the children often had complex needs, but this has given me a great grounding in childcare.
“The children at this age are getting ready for school so it’s a nice age group to work with and I couldn’t be happier at Clever Clogs.”
When she is not working Amy enjoys spending time with her son, playing football and is a Newcastle United season ticket holder.
