Beth Knott did her student placement at Clever Clogs and enjoyed it so much that when the chance of joining permanently on an Apprenticeship came up, there was no hesitation in saying yes!

Beth, 16, says she has wanted to work with children as long as she remembers.

“I loved playing teachers when I was young and I have a younger brother with autism, so there was nothing else I wanted to do,” she says.

Beth is working towards her Level 3 in Childcare and combines the hands-on experience at Clever Clogs with a day a week at college.

She adds: “I absolutely love it here. I have been made to feel very welcome by all the staff and am getting experience working in all the rooms, so I couldn’t be happier.”

When she is not working or studying, Beth says she enjoys spending as much time outdoors as she can, particularly going on long walks.
