A County Durham nursery which has been awarded a coveted perfect score on the childcare industry’s most respected website has appointed four new members of staff.
Clever Clogs Day Nursery in Bowburn recently received the top mark of 10 out of 10 from the daynurseries.co.uk website following the reviews submitted by over 50 parents and carers.
Now, to continue to maintain the excellent standards which has seen the nursery secure a 14-month waiting list for new admissions, they have expanded the team with four new recruits.
Megan Hall, 20, from Coxhoe is a new apprentice in the Small Discoverers room, looking after little ones agreed one to two.
Darcy Crook, 18, from Witton Gilbert, joins the Tiny Miracles room, providing care for the nursery’s youngest babies.
Jenny Wright, 17, from Framwellgate Moor is the new apprentice in Little Explorers, looking after little ones aged between two and three.
And finally, Lauren Scott, 32, from Spennymoor, is an early years’ educator and is working towards her Level 3 childcare qualification. She will also be in the Little Explorers room.
Vicky Harrison, Manager of Clever Clogs Day Nursery Bowburn, said: “I am delighted to welcome Megan, Darcy, Jenny, and Lauren to our team.
“Although very new in post, they have all fitted straight in and are very well liked by our little ones, parents, and carers alike.
“We are fully committed to maintaining the excellent standards of care which our children and their families expect, standards which have seen our nursery fully booked through until August 2026 and the recent award of a perfect 10 out of 10 score on the daynurseries.co.uk website.
“To do that we have to be able to attract and retain the very best people, and I believe the addition of our four new members of staff have really strengthened our position as one of the best and most respected nurseries in the North East.”
Clever Clogs Day Nursery in Bowburn currently employs 38 people with a further two new members of staff starting in July.
