As well as providing nursery care for children ages 0-5, at both our Belmont and Bowburn settings we provide out of school care in Durham, including holiday fun clubs and before and after school care, offering parents of older children flexible childcare solutions to suit their needs.

Holiday Fun Clubs

Our holiday fun clubs take place during half-term holidays, Christmas breaks and summer holidays, helping parents balance their work/life commitments with their childcare needs. This out of school care is aimed at school aged children up to 11 years old and a programme of activities is developed by our highly skilled and experienced team to ensure children are not only having fun, but they are making lots of friends too.

Activities include arts and crafts, indoors and outdoors fun, games and day trips including theatre visits and trips to the local allotments making sure children never get bored.  Children also have access to games consoles, computers, TVs, and games including table football, pool, table hockey and board games, so there’s no chance of them getting bored!

Healthy and nutritious meals are also available, or parents are welcome to provide a packed lunch as an alternative.

Before and after school care

We also provide before and after-school care to help parents who need to get to work early or finish later, or perhaps have an appointment or emergency to attend to.

We provide drop off services which enable parents to leave their children at the nursery in the morning while our qualified staff drop off the children at the local schools at the appropriate time. And when school finishes, we can collect and look after them in our dedicated out of school area of the nursery until parents are ready to pick them up.

This service is aimed at school aged children up to 11 years old and we pick up and drop off during school term time from the following local schools:

• Belmont Cheveley Park Primary School
• St Hild’s C of E Primary School

Bowburn:

• Coxhoe Primary
• Shincliffe Primary

The separate areas for older children include a quiet area for homework and activities such as games, arts and crafts and small world play.  Children are supervised at all times and help with homework is available.
