Anna-Bella Robinson says one of the best things about working in a room with children aged 2-3 is seeing them become more independent.
“It’s a lovely age because they are starting to develop their own little personalities and you see their learning progress day by day,” she explains.
Grace Whittle’s mum worked in childcare and her dad coaching youth football teams, so she says she was always destined to ‘keep it in the family’ and follow the same career herself.
Aged 24 and with a Level 3 qualification in childcare, Grace joined Clever Clogs Belmont in February 2023 and is working in Little Badgers, our room for children aged 2-3.
“This is my favourite age group to work with because at this stage you start to have real conversations with the children and they can tell you how they feel and what they would like to do,” she says.
Beth Anderson always thought she would follow her grandfather in accountancy but, thankfully for Clever Clogs, she is now counting her childcare qualifications rather than numbers on a spreadsheet!
Beth, 28, started at Clever Clogs in January 2022 and works as a Senior Practitioner in our Little Owls room for children aged 3-5.
She says: “It’s lovely seeing how much the children develop at this age and knowing you are making a difference. There are not many other jobs where you can say that.”
Jess Lowes is one of Clever Clogs’ newest members of staff and is working in our Little Explorers room for children aged two.
Jess, 24, says she always wanted to work in childcare, having had hands-on experience caring for younger family members as she was growing up.
